SC IPEC SA, a private Romanian company, founded in 1990 by the Covaciu family, world leader in the production of Vitreous china household items, is starting a new stage in the transformation program towards a sustainable production.

   In order to achieve our goal of becoming sustainable and energy independent, we started the Photovoltaic Power Plant project for self-consumption within IPEC SA in collaboration with Innovation Norway.

   Through this project we will produce 1041 MWh annually with the help of solar panels no later than 30.09.2023. This is equivalent to the reduction of 319 tons/year of CO2 emissions. The total value of the project is 1,163,325 euros, of which 523,496 euros represent Norwegian grants and 639,829 euros own contribution.

   The other stages of the sustainability and energy independence project in the short term are: the construction of micro-hydro plants and the doubling of the number of photovoltaic panels. In the medium and long term, we aim to replace fossil fuels with fuels produced from renewable sources and methods.
