“IPEC SA is not only a successful business, it is Innovation, Performance, Efficiency, Competence”, it says on the company’s website.
IPEC was born in 1990 as a small family business and has gradually grown, combining experience with the highest quality standards. The partners of the company are Elena Covaciu and her two sons (Cosmin Covaciu and Cristian Covaciu).
The place where we produce our products with great passion and diligence is in the heart of the country, more precisely in Alba Iulia. Our brand was born from the desire to offer our customers products with a modern design, using the best quality raw materials.
At the beginning, the company’s activity consisted of the production of ornamental and decorative items produced in small quantities, which were then sold on the domestic market. The year 1996 brought the first major change in the approach to the sales strategy, as the company began a business relationship with the Swedish concern IKEA, for which it began to produce more and more, year after year. Thus, from a small family business, the company began to transform into a production facility oriented towards series production, with modern machinery and sales on the foreign market.
Seriousness and compliance with commitments to business partners led to the need to develop new production capacities in the conditions of constant growth in demand on the foreign market.
Currently, the company has over 50 preparation mills, 2 atomizers for the production of atomized powder, 20 isostatic presses, 10 firing furnaces, 30 glazing machines and over 200 industrial robots.
The investment program is continuous and aims to keep the company among the top 10 global producers in the field.
